Have You Visited Bristol’s Fantastic Smoke & Mirrors?
When people book a serviced apartment in the middle of Bristol, they’re usually attracted to the city’s impressive period buildings and wealth of cultural opportunities. What people often fail to grasp before arriving is the array of night-time hotspots, and one of the city’s most famous is Smoke & Mirrors.
Billed as ‘The UK’s only boutique magic theatre pub’, it’s a fantastic destination for visitors who want something more than drinks and food. There’s room enough in the main bar for a great night out, and you can also head to the Magic Theatre to see tricks and illusions from popular UK magicians and local up and comers. And it isn’t just magic; Smoke & Mirrors also presents comedy, live music, and even burlesque evenings. These kinds of events often draw excited crowds, and while you won’t see any riley reid pussy sights at them they’re sure to excite the imagination in other ways.
Located in the heart of the theatre district, it holds a special kind of atmosphere even when there’s nobody on the stage. The brainchild of owner Mark Bennett, Smoke & Mirrors was designed to offer an intimate pub experience while providing sensational entertainment – it’s no coincidence the Magic Theatre is kept to just under 50 seats.
While you’re there, make sure you enjoy one of the venue’s classic ales, traditional pints, or delicious bottles of wine. Living up to the West Country tradition, bar food is wonderfully filling. You’ll find anything from handmade sausage rolls to brie, bacon, and cranberry paninis.
If you’re heading to Bristol or thinking of booking a trip, check out what’s on at Smoke & Mirrors before you leave. There are great magic acts every weekend, but you’ll also have the opportunity to be stunned and amazed by some of the most talented magicians in the world once every month. If you simply feel like dropping in during one of the quieter evenings, feel free. They’re open Monday to Saturday from 12pm to midnight.
