3 Reasons to Book a Longer City Stay vs. a City Break

City breaks have become increasingly popular with travellers of all ages, and it isn’t hard to see why. Instead of staying home, you get to spend a few days exploring a new city you might not otherwise have experienced – in many cases, you don’t even need to take time off work. However, you should also think about booking a city break for longer than just a few nights, and here are just three reasons why.

  1. Time to Enjoy the City

When you visit most cities, you can see all the major sights across a couple of days. However, you probably won’t have enough time to see all you want to see, and you’ll feel the need to keep hurrying around to make the most of your time. When you book a longer stay, you can take your time exploring the city and get a better feel for its unique atmosphere and attractions.

  1. Better Deals on Serviced Apartments

Most people prefer serviced apartments to hotel rooms since they offer more space and better amenities, but booking a serviced apartment often costs more when you’re only booking for a night or two. However, you can usually get a deal that beats a hotel room when you’re willing to book a serviced apartment for more than a week. You’ll enjoy the city more from nicer accommodation.

  1. Freedom to Visit Surrounding Areas

If you’re only visiting for a couple of days, you’ll have to stick to that one city. However, you’ll often find plenty of things just a short drive away. For example, a stay in Bristol puts you within an easy drive of places like Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge, and the Cotswolds. Booking for more than a couple of days gives you the opportunity to explore the local area and see things you might otherwise never see.
